Candidate Overview
Learn more about Robert Schweers and his vision for our schools.
Experience and Background
I am a retired IT Director with experience in leadership, problem-solving, budgeting, working with teams, and making decisions based on facts and long-term needs. I have also served on my HOA Board, participated in the PVSD 7-11 Committee, and currently treasurer for the Camarillo Council on Aging (CCOA).
Key Campaign Issues
My goal is simple: Listen to our community, support our teachers and students, make responsible financial decisions, and help ensure PVSD remains a safe and outstanding place for students to learn and teachers to work.
Community Engagement
I have called the Pleasant Valley community home for more than 30 years, and my family has deep roots in PVSD. My two children attended schools in the district, I have volunteered at our schools and attended countless school activities, and education has remained an important part of my family's life. My wife and daughter are both teachers in PVSD, giving me a unique perspective and a personal connection to the teachers, staff, students, and families who make our district special.
Transparency and Accountability
If elected, I will be accountable to the community - not a political agenda. I will listen to parents, teachers, staff, and community members, ask questions, visit schools, review the facts, and make decisions based on what I believe is in the best interest of PVSD students and the community.
Join the Movement
Our schools. Our community. Our future. I'm running for PVSD School Board Trustee - Area 3 because I believe our community deserves a trustee who will listen, collaborate, and put students, teachers, and families first.
